Stephanie's Journey TTC #1

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I am 27 years old. I have been married to my sweetie since May 31, 2003. He is 29.

In January 2005 we went off of BCP and began TTC #1.


Known Conditions

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in March 2004. I have been taking Synthroid since that time. My levels have been therapeutic since June 2004. I have been told that this is will not affect our TTC efforts.

I have a retroverted uterus.

I have pre-AF spotting every month. My doctor has finally decided that I have a Luteal Phase Defect and has ordered Clomid. I began this medication in May 2006.

DH had a varocele and thus had intermittently low sperm counts. After 4 semen analyses, he had a varocele repair on Jan 5, 2006.

Tests

October 10th- 1st SA= total count 17 million (should be 50 million +), morphology, motility all poor
October 24th-1st appt with new doctor- blood work ordered and I have to begin doing BBT again
November 10th- Prolactin level normal (me)
November 14th- 2nd SA & physical= total count 98.6 million (WOW), MD notices a small varocele, DH blood work is all normal
November 23rd- Progesterone level normal (me)
December 6th- 3rd SA- total count 19 million, morphology, and motility all poor; probable varocele repair surgery coming
December 9th- 4th SA- this time at a new doctor
December 12th- HSG- normal
December 19th-4th SA results great 85.6 million but morphology is low
January 3rd- 2 month follow-up and Luteal Phase diagnosis...RX for Clomid written
January 5th- varocele repair surgery
January 13th- varocele surgery follow up; antibiotic given to DH
February 1st- varocele surgery follow up
April 6th-3 suprising BFPs!!!!!!!!!! HCG-14 (3w5d-12dpo)
April 10th-m/c :( HCG down to 5 (have to wait a cycle before taking Clomid)
May cycle-taking Clomid!!! (cd5-9) ; progesterone level drawn cd 21 May 31st (our anniversary!)- 36!!!
June cycle-taking Clomid 50 mg cd 3-7 (had to work 2 weeks of nights); progesterone level drawn cd 21- June 30th- 57!!!
July cycle-taking Clomid again same days and dose
July 17th- annual with GYN
July 20th- 5th SA ---179 MILLION!!! All counts normal!!!!!!!!!!
August cycle- taking Clomid AGAIN same days and dose
August 31st- I think I see a BFP!!!
September 1st- 3 BFPs!!! ; began progesterone suppositories nightly!!
Sept. 4th- another BFP!!
Sept 6th- another BFP!!
Sept 9th- another BFP!!
Sept 27th-spotting, u/s showed missed m/c-baby measured 4w6d
Sept 29th- bleeding started
October 19th- 8am appt with RE for "whats next"

Dec, March took Vitex-Oed cd 14 those months!! (conceived March cycle) May - Clomid 50 mg cd 5-9 - BFN
June - Clomid 50 mg cd 3-7 - BFN
July - Clomid 50 mg cd 5-9 - BFN
August - Clomid 50 mg cd 5-9 - BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- m/c :( :( :(
